v1.16.3 · Better "playing now", plus "played today"
The map now has two layers — playing now, and played today. Being counted as playing takes being at the court and logging something.
Playing now means playing
Two things now have to be true: you're at the court, and you've logged a practice or a match (or tapped "I'm playing"). The arrival radius is tighter too — 100 metres instead of 200.
A second map layer: played today
Only a handful of courts have someone on them right now, but far more have been played on today. The two are drawn separately: dark for playing now, light for played today. The map also has a way through to everyone's collective footprints.
The week view makes sense now
Every row carries their level, and every court they named — no more trailing "…", which is exactly where your regular court tended to be hiding. The calendar is gone (it couldn't show players who aren't your friends yet) and the row of filters went from four to three.
"Around here" is now "Shared ground"
"Around here" isn't where you are — it's where you play. Now it says what it means: players who've been on a court in the same city as you in the last six months, and aren't your friends yet. Play in more than one city? Pick which one you're looking at.
A starter guide
Not sure where to begin? There's a starter guide inside "Talk to the developer". New players also get one more step at setup: pin a court you play at.
Also fixed
- You can back out of writing a gear review halfway through
- Opening the week view from a notification no longer traps you there
- Team-only hits are no longer visible outside the team
- Courts you've favourited now count towards "who's free nearby"
- Practices and matches logged after you've left the court still count towards your stats and still earn nuts — the ones that were missed have been credited
